Is CasaNumbers designed for landlords who rent rooms separately?
Yes. It connects each room to its own tenancy, rent and account while allowing bills to belong to the whole property.
Can I use CasaNumbers for student rentals and shared houses?
Yes. It suits student apartments and shared houses, including rooms rented to young professionals or temporary residents.
Can each room have a different rent and contract?
Yes. Room rent and tenancy dates are recorded separately. Contracts can be associated with the relevant tenancies.
How do I split electricity and utility bills between tenants?
Add the invoice, choose an allocation method and review eligible rooms, dates, exclusions and the landlord's share before confirming. Tenants can see how their charge was calculated.
What if a tenant moves in halfway through the month?
CasaNumbers supports dated occupancy and allocation by eligible occupancy days. Partial-month rent can also be calculated from tenancy dates.
Can CasaNumbers prorate rent and shared expenses?
Yes. It supports partial-month rent and shared-expense methods based on room days or eligible occupancy days. Review the calculation before confirming.
Can tenants see each other's rent or payments?
No. Each tenant's portal is limited to their own account and permitted documents. Shared bill explanations may show aggregate figures without exposing private finances.
Can I track deposits separately from rent?
Yes. Agreed deposits, instalments, outstanding amounts and refunds have a separate history from ordinary rent and expenses.
Does CasaNumbers collect rent?
No. Payments happen through the landlord's existing method. CasaNumbers records payments and shows how they affect balances.
Can I upload an invoice or bank screenshot?
Yes. The administrator Inbox accepts supported documents and images. Optional extraction can suggest details; an administrator reviews and confirms any financial result.
Do tenants need to install an app?
No. Tenants can sign in through a browser. Installation as a web app is optional where supported.
Can I manage several shared properties?
Yes. An administrator can manage several properties and rooms, and can create another separate portfolio in Settings.
Is CasaNumbers available in English and Spanish?
Yes. The public website and application support both languages.
Can I create an organisation myself?
Initial landlord access is arranged by the operator; there is no public portfolio signup. An existing administrator can create an additional separate portfolio in Settings.
